About The Show

A wide-eyed optimist tries to convince a couple of skeptics to get on board with their distinctive, sometimes downright unusual obsession. But really, it’s just an excuse for silliness, games, and surprise guests. Hosted by Ben Cassil, Thayer Frechette, and Geoff Kaufman.

Comedian and writer Eileen Soong (@eileensoong) went down a YouTube rabbit hole watching mukbang. Mukbang are videos of people eating large amounts of food while talking to their audience. We watch a few fun mukbang videos, and learn about what makes them captivating, from curing loneliness to odd food combinations. We also hear about Geoff’s unconventional eating habits, including his actual, real-life practice of sliding meat down his throat like some sort of bird. Also, listen closely to Thayer in this episode, he claims that “something is afoot” with his brain. If you have any diagnostic insight, please let us know.
